Photographing my first wedding is an experience that I will never forget. It was amazing to be part of such a special day. I loved being there to capture all of the love and emotion throughout the day with this sweet couple and their families. It was truly an honor to be able to take part in this event. I never thought I would want the stress of photographing a wedding. I always answer those emails and phone calls with a big"NO, I don't do weddings" and then send them to other wonderful wedding photographers in their area. I did say NO the first time for this one but for some reason I gave it a second thought this time. I am so glad that I did. They were all so wonderful to work with. I am especially thankful for my amazing assistant, Kaitlyn. She helped me more than she will ever know and I could not have made it throughout the day without her.
Here are a few photos from the day:
Beautiful flowers from Lou's Florist.
The ceremony was very private on the beach in Emerald Isle.

What a beautiful couple!
After their private ceremony we headed up to the Dolphin Ridge Club for a wonderful reception with friends and family. DJ Professionals and Video provided excellent music for dining and dancing by the pool. Everyone seemed to love the food and especially the the blue chocolate fountain catered by the brides family.
And of course the delicious cake (my favorite part of a party!) was provided by Kathy Canby in Jacksonville. Just beautiful!
All of the events took place with the wonderful help of Pam with Promised Hearts. She was also a lot of help to me. Thanks Pam!
Check out that great invitation from Treasures on the Trent - one of my favorite shops in New Bern! (and not just because the bride's family owns it!)
