Wow! After traveling for 2 weeks I am finally back in New Bern. I think I will need another vacation after getting unpacked and caught up on so many wonderful sessions. During my travels to Lexington and Myrtle Beach I had many sessions planned along the way. That's right, I had to work while on vacation!
Here are just a few of my favorites!
After the awesome senior sessions in Lexington we then headed to Myrtle Beach for for more photos and some play time in the sand!
Then we headed home and immediately back to work again...
This sweet baby girl has changed so much since her newborn session! (click here)

This is a cute little 2 year old that I first met a year and a half ago. We met during her 6 month photo session that she had taken while in NC visiting her grandparents. Wow! She has really grown up since I saw her last.
I was so excited to hear from her mother again and to find out that this visit I would meet her 6 month old baby sister!! They were so sweet together.
What a beautiful family!

I wish all of you a very happy Mother's Day today.
Becoming a mother has been the most fulfilling accomplishment of my life. God has been so wonderful to bless me with two beautiful children of my own. I can't imagine living my life without ever feeling this love. I am also truly thankful for my wonderful, supportive mom that God gave to me.
Being a mother means that you are full of love, encouragement and inspiration for your children FOREVER. I know that my mom will always be there for me and I will always be there for my babies.
Every mother, new and old needs to have a copy of one of my favorite children's books. Love You Forever by Robert Munsch. (click on the title to visit his website) I bought this book right after my son was born and to this day I can't finish the book without crying. My son always asks me "What's wrong, Mommy??" and I aways tell him just like the mother in the book singing her son to sleep:
"I'll love you forever,
I'll like you for always,
As long as I'm living
my baby you'll be."
Enjoy every moment of being a mother today and everyday. What a wonderful gift!
Here are a few sneak peeks from recent sessions this week:

This was such a special newborn session for me! I was so excited when this Dad emailed me wanting to get maternity and newborn photos for his wife's anniversary gift. I met this couple close to two years ago during their engagement session with me! They were so much fun to photograph, every photo really showed their love and happiness together.
Congratulations to this wonderful couple and their beautiful new baby boy!
Here is one of my favorites from the engagement session:

A couple days before Christmas I had the pleasure of meeting this new baby brother. His big brother is a little boy that I just love to photograph.
His new brother is so beautiful (I knew he would be!):
Had to get some shots of the proud BIG BROTHER:
Although, I did get the feeling that he was a little more proud of his new life size LION!
One more of his sweet baby brother:

Is everyone having girls? This little girl is like most girls - stubborn. She was 12 days over her due date. Poor Mom! I'm glad she finally came to meet her family and spend some much needed time with her Daddy who is being deployed next week. I know he is going to miss her so much. She is already such a Daddy's girl.
